Link ICT Reflects on 2021

As we move into 2022, Link ICT takes a look at the year gone by. As a team, we reflect on the challenges we’ve faced, our most enjoyable moments, and what we’re looking forward to in the year ahead.

Link ICT Services Director – Mark Fryers

This year certainly hasn’t been without its challenges. As a company, we are still riding out the pandemic, adapting our working patterns to meet the needs of our customers working remotely. We’ve managed to grow as a company, with a number of new organisations choosing us to provide their IT support. I’m proud of my staff, their resilience and their willingness to adapt. It’s been a pleasure to support our customers through the last twelve months and I would like to thank them for their ongoing custom. Next year, I’m looking forward to spending time working to continue to grow the business and supporting our customers to get the best out of their investments in technology.

The Link ICT Technical Team

The best thing about this year has been the variety of changes in working and learning that has been brought to our jobs. We’ve risen to the difficulties surrounding schools continuous dedication to providing remote learning, and we’ve especially enjoyed returning to site to support our customers. Seeing children back in the classroom with their teachers, learning in person, has brought a smile to our faces. We’ve said hello to new faces and goodbye to others, learned from each other, and worked collaboratively to provide the best service we can to our customers. We’ve seen an increase in the number of schools looking to enhance their Wi-Fi networks and install new Clevertouch interactive screens. Seeing the benefits to staff and students from schools investing in technology is definitely one of the highlights of our roles. We’re looking forward to more schools making these modern changes in the next year.

The Link ICT Admin Team

This year we’ve faced a number of challenges with the procurement of goods for our customers. From chip shortages to shipping delays and lack of delivery drivers, we’ve found our customers have had to wait slightly longer for their goods. However, we’ve always done our best to ensure that we’ve communicated with our customers effectively and have done everything in our power to fulfil orders as quickly as possible. Next year, we’re definitely looking forward to fewer delays in deliveries!

As a team, we’ve also enjoyed celebrating our success, Danielle has recently passed her Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.  We’re proud of what she has achieved and are looking forward to utilising her skills and knowledge in the following year.

From all the staff at Link ICT, we would like to say a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to our customers, wishing them the best in the year ahead.
