BETT Show 2022

Following an inspiring visit to BETT 2022 at Excel London, Link ICT technicians share their BETT 2022 highlights. After a two year absence, the team from Link ICT Services were thrilled to return to BETT in 2022 to experience the latest in EdTech advances and immerse themselves in everything the show had to offer. Attending CPD events, such as BETT 2022, allow our team of skilled technicians to ensure that they are up-to-date with the latest advances in software, hardware and IT best practice, passing on this knowledge to the schools they support.

Clevertouch and Sahara

We have a strong working relationship with Clevertouch and Sahara and attending BETT allowed us to meet face to face with the team at Clevertouch. We experienced demos of new products and the chance to network with our account managers. Strengthening these relationships helps us to ensure that we get the best possible pricing and deals for our customers.

Microsoft

We’re big fans of Microsoft Surface laptops here at Link ICT and a number of our schools use these highly rated laptops for their teaching staff.  Early in 2022, Microsoft announced their Surface Laptop SE for Education. Our technicians have already started to suggest these laptops to schools, based on their ease of deployment, management, and security features built-in.  We were able to demo the laptops and their software, increasing our eagerness for them to arrive in stock!

EduGeek

Our technicians play an active part in the IT support community and are regular contributors to EduGeek, a community where IT professionals come together to provide each other with support, solutions and news. We visited the stand and spent time talking to colleagues, discussing the current IT support climate and news in the field.

Cambium

With an increasing number of our schools looking to install wireless networks, we’re keen to ensure that the systems we quote meet their needs. As regular purchasers of Cambium wireless equipment, we had the chance to discuss with the experts how their technology helps schools to meet the latest DfE wireless network standards, to allow schools to benefit from a reliable and secure network that keeps pace with the demands of the modern school.

And much, much, more…

Walking around BETT provides the opportunity to see new and interesting technologies that we can suggest to schools to meet their needs. Watch this space for new ideas for tablet cases, laptop trolleys, alternative equipment for virtual collaboration and interactive technology for teaching the IT National Curriculum in schools.

To conclude our BETT 2022 highlights, we’re grateful for the opportunity to experience an in-person event and be truly inspired by the EdTech community coming together all in one place again. We’re looking forward to applying our findings to our work in schools and allowing our customers to benefit from our continuing professional development.
