Link ICT Technicians

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two new people to our team. Our new starters are Stuart Edmonds and Liam O’Grady who are both IT Technicians and will be helping us to increase the IT support we can provide to businesses and education providers who benefit from our dedicated on-site and remote IT support services.

The first new staff member (pictured on the left) is Liam O’Grady, from Derby, who is joining us as a Support IT Technician to build our support for our remote customers and provide onsite support when necessary. Liam has a Level 2 BTEC in IT and his employment history involves support to employees of NatWest bank as well as providing IT support at a local firm of solicitors.

Liam chose to join Link ICT Services as he has had experience in the banking and law sectors but would like to expand his knowledge within the education sector too. He also enjoys being a hands-on technician and being able to provide face to face IT support, building rapport with customers so they know you are reliable and approachable and that you are a valuable member of the team.

Liam is into collecting retro games consoles and games, mostly from before he was even alive. He also really enjoys photography; it is currently just a hobby but he does plan to get back into it properly and start snapping some high effort photos soon.

Also joining the team is Stuart (pictured on the right). Stuart is from Derby and he holds a Diploma in ICT. He previously worked for Amazon’s on-site IT support company and another managed IT support company that also helped local schools and businesses. He, therefore, has excellent experience in customer service and vast knowledge of IT.

Commenting on his new role Stuart said, “I wanted to expand my professional development and I was interested in working for a company that offers a combination of on-site and remote support for their customers as I know from experience that offering a mix of both can deliver a more bespoke solution. Offering remote support is useful, but being on-site helps to build much stronger relationships.”

Stuart has been playing pool for 15 years and is captain of a local team. He is also a huge Derby County fan and has been a season ticket holder for many years.

We look forward to seeing what they both can bring to the team and are excited for them to establish themselves with our other staff members!
